Recount part 2

          
             In this morning, I had a class “A discourse Approach in Reading” with teacher “Usa Noytim” but before her taught, she had review the “Recount lesson” about Text organisation. It was consist of 3 forms were orientation, series of event, and personal comment. After that, she told us to read Exercise 3 and Exercise 4 and made the question after read finished. When finished, teacher answers the question and additional taught. I thought, today I studied got know than yesterday and when teacher answer. I more got know. Then, teacher check work groups at her gave last week about “A list of discourse markers”. She gave suggested for improve it.

Recount

Today I studied a new lesson, it was recount. The recount had 3 type such as, personal, factual and imaginative. A teacher taught me in each of headlines and she taught text organisation, it consisted of orientation, events and orientation. I thought, this lesson was not difficult but I sometimes mistake in the exercises. Next I was made a "My Grandpa's Funeral in Toraja" exercise, she assigned her students.
In my opinion, I thought the funeral of them was different than Thailand. They had to build a puppet, kill pigs and buffaloes and bring a head of corpse to northward but in Thailand bring it to westward. However, It had something the same in Thailand, the people wore black clothes, they had sandalwood and make up a corpse to beautiful.

First day to study (A Discourse Approach in Reading)

Yesterday I learnt about the definition of a Discourse Approach in Reading by Dr. Usa  Noytim. First teacher told me about point and rules how to study with her. The teacher taught a discourse markers and her explain about meaning such as Addition, Cause, Effect, Comparison, Contrast, Example, Definition, problem-solution. And using these words in the sentence. I though it’s very difficult because used words to link sentences and the teacher gave exercises in the classroom. I had problem to learn a Discourse Approach in Reading because I didn’t know about vocabulary but I tried to study and review with myself.
